Inclusive Wayfinding in the Social Housing Context

Graduate Research Assistant, OCAD University + Toronto Community Housing

A pilot research project with OCAD University and Toronto Community Housing, studying how residents with physical, visual, and cognitive disabilities navigate common spaces at Moss Park. This project taught me to design with people, not just for them. I conducted on-site route analysis, environmental data capture, and visual jurying alongside residents and advisors from Orfield Laboratories and the Inclusive Design Institute, mapping user journeys through spaces that most designers never think twice about. The work produced wayfinding design strategies and schematics to support TCHC's revitalisation ahead of Ontario's AODA accessibility legislation.
